Reference-2) Approved MoM of 55th Academic Council dated 16/12/2025.
With reference to the above-mentioned Reference-1, the exit option can only be exercised by a
student after the completion of the entire academic year. An additional 06-08 credits are also
required to be earned at the end of the respective exit year (i.e., the year in which the student seeks
the exit option). These required additional credits can be earned by completing domain-specific skillbased courses.
There is an amendment in Point No. 6(d) of the MEME Guidelines. The University will no longer
provide the list of domain-specific skill-based courses. Students are now permitted to complete
domain-specific, skill-based courses equivalent to 6-8 credits from any of the following recognized
platforms/GTU Recognized Industry Partners/GTU Centres of Excellence (CoEs):
1. SWAYAM+ Platform
2. NPTEL
3. National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
4. National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)
5. GTU Recognized Industry Partners
6. GTU Centres of Excellence (CoEs)
The list of GTU-recognized Industry Partners and Centres of Excellence (CoEs) is available under the
MEME of Academics tab on the GTU website. Students shall ensure that the selected courses
equivalent to 6-8 credits under MEME are not already studied by them as a part of the regular
curriculum requirements of their enrolled program.
All concerned institutes and students are hereby informed to take note of the above and refer to the
GTU MEME guidelines (Reference-1) for further details.
